Salt Lake County Archives maintains a large website that provides information regarding the historical records that are available for research.  A visitor to the site will receive an overview of the records held at the Archives, including birth and death records, property records, Territorial records, commission minutes, administrative records from multiple agencies, civil and criminal court records, and the history of the Hansen Planetarium, just to name a few.

You can also find online exhibits on our website.  These exhibits cover subjects such as the celebration of Salt Lake County’s sesquicentennial (150 years), and shows the items that were donated from cities all over the County that were placed in a time capsule and buried at the County Government Center.  Other County history is also explored through these exhibits, including the establishment of the ski resorts at Alta and the founding of the Salt Lake County Mountain Guard, the agricultural past of the County, and several additional historical exhibits.  Visit these exhibits anytime!
